Eado Hecht

Dr. Eado Hecht is a defense analyst whose expertise lies in military theory and military history, focusing on the relationship between military theories, military doctrine and actual practice. Dr. Hecht teaches at the Bar Ilan University, the University of Haifa and Reichman University and a variety of courses in the Israel Defense Forces and is a senior researcher for the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies.

He is the author of Breaking Through: The Operational-Level Breakthrough in British Military Theory and Doctrine 1850-1945 (published in English, Kindle Edition); and The Operational-Level Breakthrough in German Military Theory and Doctrine 1870-1945 (published in Hebrew); The Tactics of Battlefield Fire Support – Development and Lessons (published in Hebrew) and a variety of monographs analyzing specific campaigns and battles.
